In 2020 I had the pleasure to work on Biolum VR experience as 3D Creature Artist and Texture Artist with the great team of Reynard Films, Prefrontal Cortex and Iko Studio. It's a Franco-German co-production. Here are some other assets I made for the project. In addition to most of the animals, I also made the hands that can be seen later in the game, as well as some plants and corals for the environment. It's just a selection.
The design of the emission textures for the bioluminescence glowing was a particular challenge here, as they significantly determine the character of the creatures in the game. The bioluminescence of the animals is greatly exaggerated, which results from the plot. It is possible to perceive the plasticity and details of the surfaces in VR by pointing the torch.
